Hello, I know that when you are coding conditions such as a heart block that is being controlled by pacemaker you do not code the condition, however if patient has dilated cardiomyopathy and is being seen status post a Heart Assist Device would you still code the cardiomyopathy? Does anyone know if there is a list of cardiology codes that would or would not be coded with the device codes that I may access?
