hello everyone, I'm really new at coding I'm getting ready for my cpc exam, Im a little confuse with cbag I had a case that read as follows. A patient undergoes a triple cabg using the left internal mammary artery and saphenous vein grafts the saphenous vein is harvested using an endoscopic technique i coded as 33533,33518, and 33508 is that ok

  • Arterial grafting (LIMA → LAD):
    • CPT 33533 – CABG, arterial graft, single vessel
  • Venous grafting (two saphenous vein grafts):
    • CPT 33518Add‑on code for each additional venous graft when combined with arterial graft(s)
Note: only one 33518 is needed when the number of venous grafts matches the count. Since there are two venous grafts, you bill one 33518; it represents the multiple venous grafts in a combined scenario.
  • Endoscopic saphenous vein harvest:
    • CPT 33508 – surgical endoscopic harvest of the saphenous vein; reported separately when vein harvesting uses an endoscopic technique
