I have not coded podiatry in a few years and was hoping someone could help me. I am struggling with CCI edits. I tried to bill the following charges:
28285
27691
28293
28160
Claim hit for CCI edits. I reviewed the edits, checked documentation again, added modifier 59 to each procedure and rebilled. Claim is still hitting edits for CCI edits......I have not used CCI edits in a long time and am wondering what I am doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Per NCCI: 28285 is bundled into 28293. 28160 is bundled into 28285 and 28293. So you would need a modifier on 28285 and 28160 if justified based on the procedure(s) done--a separate site, system, session, or incision/excision, lesion, or injury. I don't know podiatry, but based on NCCI, I would be dubious if you could bill all 3 codes on the same toe and the same operative session.
