I have a doctor that is stating the patient has left lower extremity cellulitis. Am I safe to use 682.6?

the code definition is cellulitis and abcess of leg, except

I would say you are safe with that code unless there is foot envolvement or there are no related codes such as diabetic manifestations or pvd

Check the procedure, its normal I&D or simple procedure then code 682.6.
