When coding CP I seeing a couple of things that are to confussing me. If the patient has CP wtih spastic quadripelia I am seeing it coded a couple of different ways. First...343.2 as a single code, or 343.9 & 343.2, or 343.9 & 344.00. Which is the correct way? :confused:

Use 343.2 alone. There is no need to use 343.9 with 343.2 as the CP is already covered in 343.2. Using the same reasoning for the quadriplegia - 344.00 is not to be coded since quadriplegia is addressed in 343.2. That one combination code is sufficient.
