I'm looking for a second opinion.
This is the note that the provider wrote. Pt has bilateral cerumen impaction.
Attempted unsuccessfully to remove cerumen with curette - irrigated with warm water with return of cerumen plug on right but left still there. Right TM intact. Left ear canal sore and irrigation stopped for today.

Would you bill 69210?

Thanks

Yes as long as the currette usage was documented it can be in conjunction with irrigation. 69210 has been revised to a unilateral code. You can bill it again on the other ear when the patient comes back in. Must be done by the Doc and not the nurse or MA and documented as such. I hope this helps :)
