I have been told there is a way to bill for Cerumen Impaction removal using an instrument. Does anyone know of a special code to use for this? How do you bill for this service with an office visit?
 
Cerumen Impaction removal

I code it as 69210 (Removal impacted cerumen requiring instrumentation, unilateral). Read the description of this CPT, you get the answer. ICD9 for cerumen impaction is 380.4. Also, add modifier 25 to office visit. Office visit must be mapped with some other diagnoses.
