My question has to do with Cervical Laminoplasty. I have a physician that does a partial laminectomy(63001 or 63003) above the laminoplasty segment and below the laminoplasty segment. These laminectomies are not included as part of the actual Laminoplasty segment but I am concerned they would be integral since this surgeon does them on every laminoplasty. I am concerned that these should be inclusive in the laminoplasty code 63051. Has anyone else experienced this situation and how would you code it?
