Hello there! I have a case where a cesarean scar ectopic pregnancy was treated with a suction d & c and us guidance. 59897 is what I keep seeing...any suggestions?

Check out these DX codes 090.2, S36.33S & L76.34 or T81.33S & 090.0 & L76.34. Mind you may want the date this occurred on claim. So it determines if recent birthing or years ago. I hope helped you. Also the CPT code for a C-section ectopic scar removal, typically referred to as a "cesarean scar pregnancy" procedure, is usually CPT 59151; this code represents a laparoscopic treatment of an ectopic pregnancy, which would encompass surgical management of a pregnancy implanted within the previous C-section scar. The CPT 59897 is for abortion dilemma
