Can someone direct me to where I can find "black and white" guidelines for the time frame to complete a medical record in a physician office.
For example:
1. What is the time frame the progress note/office visit must be completed?
2. If an ultrasound in performed in the office what is the time frame that it must be read and dictated?
I have the guidelines for the hospital side (as I previously ran an HIM department), but I cannot find any concrete guidelines for a physician office.
