the provider coded v65.42 and v65.49 and the constant error message in our EHR says ( Error ID: uPT on line 1 Error Message: Primary ICD-9 not specific, please code Mental Health/Chemical Dependance condition. Please review.)
pretty much I use unspecified chemical dependency dx codes like 305.90 for these types of encounters as primary....is this appropriate given the info in the provider note?
