When coding chemo-therapy treatment (IVP, infusion, etc) can I code the heparin? Not the flush procedure, which is part of it, but the J1642 for the heparin? Thanks.

Most insurance companies consider the heparin a bundled service and will not pay for it. Check your insurance fee schedules to see if they list is as payable. Good luck!
