I have just recently taken over coding and charging infusions from a co-worker that retired. I'm a little confused about Chemo infusions that are for non-cancer diagnoses. I found an article stating;
“…preparation and administration of Gonadotropinreleasing hormones (GnRH) – also known as luteinizing-hormonereleasing hormones (LHRH) – doesn't meet the CPT manual requirements of the use of the chemotherapy administration codes…” (source http://www.articlesbase.com/mens-he...-injections-in-noridian-patients-4530154.html

It is outdated (2010) and I cant find anything on the CMS website. How are people coding/ charging infusions for chemo drugs that are used for non-cancer reasons, example-Infliximab for rheumatoid arthritis. Are there any drugs that were once considered chemotherapy that are no longer excepted?
