This patient had a chest wall defect and hernia I am looking at 39520 my question is does this code also cover the chest wall defect repair and thoracotomy? It was not a lung hernia they did a thoracotomy, and inspected the left lung to verify this. So any ideas or opinions? :confused:

The thoracotomy is bundled in this procedure. You could try using a 22 and sending notes.
