Hello,
I obtained my AAPC CPB certification April 2022. I currently work remotely for my wife's Chiropractic office. It is not a full time position and I would like to get an additional chiropractic office to bill for.
My job responsibilities are:
Pre-authorizations.
Knowing payer policies.
Sending statements to patients.
Working rejections and denials.
Following up on outstanding payor and patient accounts.
Before sending any claims to our clearinghouse. I review each claim and DX notes for errors and accuracy. This has greatly reduced rejections and denials within our practice.
Working remotely. I would ensure that the front receptionist and I work as a team to minimize errors and collecting patient payments while they are in office. The struggles of collecting from patients are when they are out of the office. The receptionist can Make or Break a practice.
