One of my pain management doctors in AZ wants to hire a chiropractor to do his physical therapy on his patients. I have never billed for chriopractors and have found scant information on what a chiropractor can bill other that manipulations of subluxations. Can a chiropractor bill PT codes? Any help here is appreciated. Lynn Kimsey, CPC, CPCO, CPMA, CPC-I, CEMC

It depends on your state

In our state we can perform PT and CMT codes. So you really need to look up the states definition of what a chiropractor can do. For instance we can also bill and LMT's services under our chiropractors license. But in other states the LMT bills under their own license. They can't bill under their own license here.
