Our doctors are wanting to use codes 99339, 99487-99489. I have read the guidelines for all the codes and I am wanting some advise/clarification.

1. Does anyone use these codes on a monthly basis. For example, we have a case care team who could bill a 99487 each and every month for the follow up they do.

2. Are these codes for in office use or more for home/out of office rounding?

3. What do you consider to be a qualified healthcare professional? MD, NP, PA? or an RN too?
