Would long term use of opiate analgesics be considered a chronic condition, as far as Number/Complexity of Problems?

It's hard to answer this outside the context of a medical record. Long-term use of a drug, in and of itself, is not a 'condition' but rather is a treatment for a condition. But if it's a treatment that has become complicated by side effects or has become addictive, then it might be considered a condition that requires evaluation or treatment as well. I think you really have to look at the provider's note as a whole to be able to begin assigning points for leveling.
