Has anyone else in the derm world heard that Cigna will require medical records will all E/M when filed with a procedure starting 8-2022? Thank you.

Are you referring to this policy? It will apply to all minor procedures [edit: if there's an NCCI edit with a modifier indicator of 1]: https://static.cigna.com/assets/chc...ly_Identifiable_Evaluation_and_Management.pdf

I work in billing for family practice and we received that letter about a month ago regarding this new policy starting August 13th. I'm wondering if this is going to include the visits where we use a modifier 25 because they got a vaccine at the visit, that is going to be a nightmare during flu season if that's the case!

We received a letter from Cigna saying this new policy will be delayed and will not go into effect on 08-13-22.
