Hi everyone!

I have a question regarding lab billing for the screening of multiple drug classes (80101). The lab is billing for 14 drug classes, and 6 of these are listed as "Metabolites". Here is how it is broken down on the lab results:

Buprenorphine/Metabolite
Carisoprodol/Metabolite
Cocaine/Metabolite
Methadone/Metabolite
Oxycodone/Metabolite
Propoxyphene/Metabolite

The CPT manaul listes Cocaine/Metabolites as a drug class, so would it be accurate to say that all of these metabolites can be billed separate as they are for different drug classes?

Thanks,
