I have a question?

When billing for an open resection of the distal clavicle I use 23120 or 23125, here comes the question:

How do I know which one to use? Is it according to the amount removed? For example: 5mm

Can someone please help me clarify this.....?

I had an insurance recode me because of the mm removed
