I am a Utilization Management RN and also have my CPC certification. My boss asked me if there was a way to narrow down a search for all codes related to clinical trials. I used AAPC's Live Chat to determine if there was a way to do this, and I was directed to post my question here to see if anyone might have the answer. CPT/HCPCS codes are what we are looking at, and I didn't know if anyone would have the answer.

Hi. Clinical Trials typically have Q0 or Q1 modifiers attached to them. You could probably try to run a report on your EMR to find out the procedures you guys do.
A few examples are 0345T, 33418, 33419, 78815, 33249, PM, ICD, CRT implants, etc....
