Can anyone help with a code? It’s for a closure of a coronary fistula that was done through a percutaneous approach. I’m stuck on this one.

Hi, thanks for your question. Can you provide some additional details about how the fistula was closed (e.g., did the physician place a stent or other device to occlude the fistula?) If you have the op note and can share the body of the report minus any PHI that would help. The codes in CPT dedicated to closure of a coronary fistula are for an open approach through a median sternotomy so definitely an interesting case here.
