My podiatrist just started treating a baby with clubfoot. He is using the Ponseti Method. Another podiatrist told him he could bill for closed reduction. He will be recasting every week for 5 weeks, will do a tenotomy and the final cast.

I had told him previously we would only code for the casting 29450/50 for each visit (with the 58 modifier on the 2nd-5th visits) and then the sx. Can someone help me out with this?

I agree with you ... this is how our Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeons code these cases. BUT ... you should not need a -58 modifier as 29450 has a "0" day global period.
