I am billing for a pathology report and required to bill date of service for the date the service was signed off on. This signature was AFTER the patient's date of death.
CMS is telling me there is a specific HCPCS modifier for this circumstance (other than PM) and I can not locate it anywhere.
Does anyone have any experience with getting a claim like this paid?
