Can someone advise as to what is CMS' status I code mean?
 
Under RBRVS Status I is Invalid. It means code cannot be billed to Medicare and that another code exists to report the service. Some commercial plans may follow some of all of this guidance


A few examples:


Diagnostic Breast tomosynthesis codes 77061 - 77062 should be reported with G0279


Drug Screen codes 80320-80377 should be billed under G0480 - G0483


Office Consult codes 99241-99245 should be reported with the office E&M codes
