Hi,

We have a patient who has insurance through his wife's job with over 20 people. He also has insurance through the VA. When services are provided at a VA Hospital which insurance would be prime? I'm having a very difficult time finding any information on this.
 
My understanding is if the patient has their own coverage that will always be the primary; coverage under a spouse would be the secondary plan. I'm not sure that the rule would be any different with the VA.
