Hello,
I am in desperate need of some help with code 15734. My Doc wants to use this code with every inguinal hernia surgery that he does, his documentation does not support the use of this code as described on coding software.
he does incise the peritoneum and creates a flap, he does not cut muscle - he does attach the flap to muscle. I have researched this so many times and have no solution. I don't know if adding a modifier 52 would be correct OR just add a 22 to the hernia repair for the extra work.
