Wiki Code +63662 parenthetical note for reporting w/code 93656

In reviewing the 2022 CPT Book, EP Ablation code changes for 2022, I am confused that code 93656 description now includes intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) and the parenthetical notes state that code 93656 should not be coded with code 93662. However, the parenthetical notes under code +93662 still list that code 93656 may be used with 93662.

Just an FYI that I believe there is an error in code +93662 parenthetical notes. This error also appears to have been copied into the recent MEDLEARN Webinar, 2022 Cardiology Reimbursement & Compliance Update, page 25.

The Elements of Cardiac Ablation Codes chart on page 781 is correct.

I've been looking into this all day it feels, I did see the page 781 chart. I'm also seeing the 93662 error on 3 separate coding engines and in the 2020, 2021 and 2022 coding books. where did you find out that the Cardiac Ablation Chart is the correct one? I'm assuming aswell then this is new for 2022 and they did not update the notes under the chart for 93662.

Code 93656 (and also 93653, 93654) descriptions changed for 2022. ICE (+93662 is now bundled into code 93656 only). I think they just failed to correct the code listing in their parenthetical notes. This can be an issue for those people like me that rely heavily on these parenthetical notes!
