Wiki Code for group medication education?

Is there a code to use for a psychiatrist who plans on doing a group medication education for inpatients - the session would last about 50 minutes and would be for 13-18 patients.

I'm not sure if 90853 would be appropriate - it states for psychotherapy and this is for medication education. I also read somewhere that there is a limit on the amount of patients during these sessions. 90862 doesn't state for groups, so I'm not sure if I could use that code.

If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated!

I could not find a matching code for this scenario for Psychiatrists. I would look for a HCPCS code, or 99078.

I'll check some more and let you know if I find a more specific one..

Thanks Barbara for your help. I read the info on the site youprovided, but I don't see anything either that would be for my scenario. I had also looked into the code 99078, however from the information I have found, this code is not paid by Medicare and I am not sure about other carriers.

If you do find any other information, I would be interested in hearing about it!
