If the impression states that the patient has a "probable stasis wound", what ICD code should be used? The code listed on the superbill is I87.311 - chronic venous hypertension with ulcer of right lower extremity. I'm not really seeing this in the documentation. There is mention of the wound and that it may be caused by a bug bite over a month ago. Pt had some leg swelling and no prior chronic wounds or history of antibiotic-resistant infection. In the exam, there was mention of stasis changes on both lower legs.

I'm thinking I could code I87.2 and S81.801A. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
