Pt comes into his pcp for an office visit. Pt recently had his spleen removed. What dx code would you bill for giving a pt pneumococcal vaccine. Would you report the absent of the spleen dx code 289.89 and V03.82?

you would NOT use 289.89 that 8s a code for a disease of blood forming organs which has not been documented and the patient does not have. You use the V03.82 and the V45.79 for the acquired abcense of the spleen
