We have a patient who is having two consults in our office by two different providers; one for pain management and one for neuro with two different dates of service. We would code this with the appropriate E/M, right?

How would we do it if both encounters were on the same DOS?

Thanks,

T

Since the 2 providers are in different specialties, you should use whichever E/M code is appropriate for the services they perform individually, even if it is on the same DOS.
