In the October Cutting Edge (pg 45) it states that you cannot bill pro fee 31500. In looking in the CPT book this is not listed as one of the codes included in Critical Care. Does anyone have some additional documentation to support this?

31500 with Critical Care

Agree with liedym. Where is the information in this article coming from? I am an ED coder for professional fees in Maryland. We always code intubation with critical care when performed in cases where the patient is in respiratory failure. Gastric intubation is included in CC; endotracheal intubation is not included in CC.
