My doctor is doing epidural under fluoroscopic guidance, he is also performing a 72020. Can I bill seperately for the x-ray? This seems like double billing to me, though I am being told by the claims dept, "we have always done this."
 
Fluoroscopic guidance code 77003 goes with the injection code. The spine x-ray must be for different reason. Did the physiician document why he did a spine xray?
