does anybody know where would be the best place to find a coding advocate if you have questions about ethics & the things a provider may be asking you to do??

My first recommendation would be to reach out to your compliance officer, but it sounds as if your office may not have this option. AAPC has a great tool where for a minimal fee you can ask coding, auditing, etc type questions for an "official" answer or recommendation from them. It is called "Ask an AAPC Expert".
