We bill out for Psych test codes 96101, 96118 and 96116. We bill out the date of service and time for the testing and scoring along with the dates and time spent (which consists of 2-3 days) for the preparation of the report under the appropriate CPT Code for the Psych testing as mentioned above. We do this to tie everything into the documentation and have had no problems with reimbursement. We need to know if this is the correct way to bill out for the above mentioned codes? Is there a better way to bill out the codes for test and scoring as well as preparation of the report?

Appreciate any advice from anyone who codes and bills these out.

Thank you:)
