Please, I need a help with a following:

Specialty Podiatry

Services Application of Bioengineered Skin Substitutes to Lower Extremity Chronic Non-Healing Wounds

MAC Novitas Solutions.

Is a product reported with Q code (Q4102, Q4106 and etc) eligible for separate reimbursement in addition to application codes (CPT 15271 and CPT 15272), when services performed at the physician office and reported with POS 11?

I have discussed this topic with Oasis Navigator; per information provided on their web site the product is eligible for a separate reimbursement.

I read LCD Novitas Solutions Article A54115 and discussed this topic with them.

However, I would appreciate if someone share experience with reimbursement for the scenario listed above.

Sincerely,

Yulia Miller

Have you tried speaking with the vendor of the skin substitutes? I have one that has told me what other offices in my area are getting reimbursed at. I have not had to bill those yet so I am not positive.
