I would appreciate any guidance on the billing of code 98960: there aren't any details in the parenthetical portion of the codes set about the minimal amount of time up to 30 minutes. If the education/training for a patient is 15 minutes, am I able to select this code?

Since there are not any directions in the parentheticals for this particular code, then you will want to follow the guidelines for time in the introduction section of the CPT book. These guidelines indicate that a unit of time is attained when the mid-point is PASSED. Since this code is per 30 minutes, at least 16 minutes must be spent and documented to bill this code. Hope this helps :)
