Hello,

I need confirmation or correction on coding individual counseling and group counseling sessions. My understanding is that individual sessions get coded and billed with CPT codes 99401-99404 and that group sessions get coded and billed with CPT codes 99411-99412 per patient in attendance at group. Is my understanding on this correct?

I appreciate any and all feedback provided. Also, is there some kind of documentation or guide on how to bill group counseling services specifically?
