New to ER coding. Please help.
When coding for the facility, do I charge the E/M facility level and the procedure that the nurse performed or assisted with? Or is that double dipping? Example: Nurse performed CPR per Dr's order - Do I code the critical care facility level and CPR? Just as I would the Physician side?
Same with transcutaneous pacing? Since it isn't bundled in with critical care for the facility do I code both Critical care and transcutaneous pacing?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
