I need a bit of clarification. When coding follow up visits (to illness) and when coding ADD med checks should we be coding the disease/condition or use the Vcode for generic follow up and generic medchecks. My understanding was that you would use the condition codes not V-codes but I want to be sure. Thank you

for a med check use V58.83 with a V58.69 with the condition third listed. If the condition is still ongoing and this is not a med check then use the illness .
