Anyone knows how to code for gc/chlamydia collection in the office (family practice)?
Is it OK to use the same code as Pap collection (Q0091)?

I use 87510 for BV Rapid Test and 87808 for Trich Rapid Test. I do not use Q0091 unless it is a pt with Medicare. I hope this help.

Those are lab codes. You do not use those codes for the physician office to collect the specimen and send it to the lab. The Collection of the specimen is part of the E&M.

Mitchellde, are we to indicate with Vcode such as V73.98 and V74.5 for GC while sending the specimens for lab as special screening examination, along with the appropriate E/M
