Does anyone have experience with coding for a genetics lab??

I just took a position with a genetics lab that has never had a CPC before. I am starting from scratch. Although they are being very patient with me, I need to get some clarification/answers on some things I am just unsure of.

I would be very grateful for any advise or help I could get. Thanks!
