I have a question as to how I would correctly list diagnosis codes. Pt had an excision of the left posterior thigh. The surgeon's H&P states that pt was seen for lump on leg, a bx was done prior and path report came back showing breast cancer, which was metastatic, Pt has no hx of breast cancer personally, her PET scan only showed active leg lesion. Pt has been encouraged to seek a 2nd opinon, out of town to confirm her dx of breast cancer. With all this , would it be correct for me to list dx as 199.1, malignant neoplasm unspec site?
