Good Morning,
Have a quick question, diag is serous otitis media w/ history of eustachian tube dysfunction. Would it be corrrect to code as follows: 381.3, V12.49 and 381.81, or would the 381.81 overkill? Please help

381.81 is not a code for hx of a dysfunction therefore if this is not a current dx then do not code this, I disagree with the V12.49 also as otitis media is an infection not a disorder of the central nervous system and sense organs. You just do not code for that.
