What is the appropriate ICD 10 for a pre term delivery by C-section, third trimester. I know it's not O82. Can someone assist with this?

I need more info: why c-section; why preterm. Check the Chap 15 guidelines under "Selection if OB principal or first-listed diagnosis" and follow that discussion through your scenario.
Hint: I'm guessing: 1st is likely the complication resorting to the c-section. Don't forget a gestational age code too.

Hi there,

Thanks for the info. Yes, the pre-term labor lead to complications leading to C section. I think I was able to find the right DX code. This would be O60.14X0, which indicates preterm labor with preterm delivery. But would that code work for C section? I would add Z3A.35 in addition to that code.
