We are billing CPT code 11980 for this. Zoladex is a manmade hormone. My question is this, because Zoladex is not testosterone or estradiol is it incorrect to use this code? Zoladex is a pellet subcutaneously implanted. Code 11980 seems closest to what we are performing. I thought code descriptions within parentheses were examples. Thoughts or opinions?
