When coding for a glucose tolerance test, GTT, when urine samples are tested and collected along with the blood samples, do you code 82951 for the 1st 3 samples, 82952, for each additional sample, whether blood or urine?
For example:
3 hour GTT, fasting glucose, 1/2 hour after dose, 1 hour after dose, 2 hours after dose, 3 hours after dose, blood and urine collected each time
82951, 82952x7?
Or, are the urine samples coded separately as another tolerance, 82951, 82952x2?
