Help Please :)

Patient received in patient surgery, the plastic surgeon performed: paraspinous muscle flaps x 2 for closure of cervical and thoracic wound.

Wound size was 13 x 8cm with 2 flaps, measuring 13 x 4 cm each and a 13cm layered plastic closure of the skin and subcutaneous tissue.

"On evaluation by our service in the operating room, the patient has a 13x8 cm wound in the midline of the back corresponding to the level of C4-T1. Spinal hardware was visible through the wound (placed by orthopedic service.) The decision was made a that point to perform bilateral paraspinous muscle advancement flap closure...Attention was then focused to the open wound on the patients back. The edges of the paraspinous muscle were identified and using electrocautery, a plane was dissected between the subcutaneous layer and the fascia of the paraspinous muscle. Approximately 4 cm subcutaneous disection was performed on each side and a relaxing incision was made in the fascia of the paraspinous muscle, allowing medialization of the muscle and the fascia......"

We billed:
15732 x 2
13101
13102 x 2

The insurance company is denying the 15732 x 2 stating that their is a better code to be used. Is this being billed incorrectly? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!
D
